6.3 Mechanical properties to ballistic requirements. The minimum mechanical
properties specified (see 3.3) may not assure aluminum armor plate meeting the specified
ballistic requirements (see 3.4). The following mechanical properties listed in Table VI
for the various alloys and tempers are suggested values that can be specified in the
contract or order, if a temper is to be specified.
